Teams Wanted!  All school, team, church group, scout troop or kids based organization can earn $250 when they register at least 10 kids for the Chevron Kids Marathon.  

Calling all teachers, coaches, scout leaders, and involved parent!  Become a Kids Move Champion and make a positive impact on the lives of young people throughout Coastal Mississippi. Champions earn perks:

*Recruit 10 Kids - earn $250 for your team and an entry to the Margaritaville 5k

*Recruit 20 Kids - earn an entry to the Margaritaville 5k and get a Chevron Kids Move sweatshirt

*Recruit 40 Kids - earn an entry to the Margaritaville 5k, get a Chevron Kids Move sweatshirt and get a $100 cash gift card

 

To start a team in RunSignUp.com:

1. Create a team by clicking HERE
   
   
2. Create a Team Name
   
   
3. Select age group (5 - 12)
   
   
4. Select a password for team members to use.  This is a code for kiddos to get on the correct team  (ex: TIGERS2024). 
   
   
5. Default Event: Leave this without a default option selected.
   
   
6. Promote to your potential team members and share the code to join the team.
   
   
7. To view your team roster, sign in to RunSignup.com and click under your Profile, scroll to the team name and click it to access the team page.
   *If you are signed up for races through RunSignup.com, the youth team will be listed below your races.

What races can our team members sign up for?

Can a runner (youth) who is already registered be moved to a team after the fact? 

Yes, a registered runner can be moved onto a team, as long as they are between the ages of 5 - 12 and they registered for the Kids Marathon.  A parent or coach can email info@msgulfcoastmarathon.com. 

As the Champion, do I or can I also sign up for an event?  

Champions can register as individuals for events, but they are not included on the Youth Teams or the counts for Youth Teams.  

Does a team need to be a registered school or organization in order to win the Top 3 Organization award?

Any organization, team, group can win.  In order to do this, kids on the team need to list the Team (Tigers Soccer Team) when they register.   There is a question as to what organization they represent.  If they list their school or any other "club" as the organization they are representing, then it will not tally properly.   However, if "Tiger's Soccer Team" is representing a specific school or church or organization, then have them list that accordingly. 

As a Team Leader, please specify how you want the kids to list their organization or school, when they are registering.
